Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains, at a high level, how Revive may collect, use, store, process, and disclose information when you use Revive, including our iOS application, websites, and related services.

Revive is a consumer photo-restoration service. Depending on the features available at a given time, Revive may allow users to restore damaged or faded photographs, colorize black-and-white photographs, enhance portrait clarity, clean up scans of printed photos, remove scratches or other visible damage, and generate stylized, restored, or animated outputs from uploaded images.

For the most current information about data associated with the app, you should also refer to the App Store listing, App Store privacy disclosures, purchase screens, permission prompts, device settings, and any supplemental notices provided in the product.

This Privacy Policy is intended to be broad enough to cover current operations and reasonable future changes in features, vendors, storage behavior, account systems, analytics, and support workflows.

Information We May Handle

Revive may handle information you choose to provide directly, including uploaded photographs, scans of printed photographs, edited images, generated outputs, support messages, survey responses, waitlist submissions, and other content or communications you send to us.

Uploaded images may contain faces, portraits, family members, children, deceased relatives, sensitive personal or family imagery, and metadata associated with the image file if that metadata is present when submitted.

Depending on the version of the service and the features you use, we may also handle account identifiers, Sign in with Apple information, device and app identifiers, subscription and purchase status, approximate location derived from network requests, IP address, crash data, diagnostics, usage analytics, support history, and push notification tokens if notifications are introduced.

Some information may be processed locally on your device, and some information may be transmitted to Revive or our service providers to support restoration, enhancement, animation, storage, delivery, analytics, abuse prevention, customer support, and subscription management.

How We May Use Information

Revive may use information to provide, maintain, operate, secure, improve, monitor, and troubleshoot the service and its features, including restoring damaged or faded photos, colorizing black-and-white photos, sharpening faces, cleaning up scans, removing visible defects, and generating restored or animated outputs.

We may use information to authenticate users, process subscriptions and purchases, manage entitlements, measure performance, detect bugs, diagnose crashes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce limits, moderate unsafe activity, and communicate with users about updates, support issues, or transactional matters.

We may also use information to analyze usage trends, test product changes, evaluate feature quality, improve reliability, and support future account, gallery, history, referral, attribution, or notification features.

We may use information as required to comply with law, enforce our rights, investigate misuse, respond to legal requests, and protect Revive, our providers, users, and third parties.

AI And Service Providers

Revive may use third-party AI image-processing providers and other service providers to help operate the service, including photo-restoration, image-editing, image-to-video, portrait-animation, hosting, cloud-storage, CDN, logging, analytics, crash-reporting, customer-support, communications, security, and anti-abuse providers.

When you use AI-powered features, we may transmit uploaded photos, videos, other media files, associated file metadata, processing instructions or job parameters, and generated outputs to external providers for processing on our behalf. Depending on the feature and how the service is configured, limited technical information such as IP address, device or app identifiers, and diagnostic data may also be processed by us or those providers to deliver the feature, prevent abuse, debug failures, and maintain reliability.

The specific providers we use may change over time. Their handling of submitted content may depend on their own terms, policies, and technical practices, which may also change over time. We do not control all third-party processing practices, so you should assume that content submitted for AI-powered features may be processed by external providers when those features are used.

Sharing And Disclosure

Revive may disclose information to third-party AI processing providers and other vendors that help operate the app, including hosting, storage, analytics, infrastructure, diagnostics, customer-support, communications, security, and payment-related providers. We may also disclose information to Apple and related parties in connection with App Store purchases and platform operations.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to legal process, to investigate fraud or abuse, to enforce our rights, to protect users or the public, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, asset sale, or similar business transaction.

We do not promise to share information only with the vendors we currently use. Our provider relationships may change over time, and this Privacy Policy is intended to cover reasonable future changes in vendors and infrastructure.

Retention And Deletion

Revive may retain uploaded photos, generated outputs, metadata, logs, and related records for different periods depending on the feature used, whether temporary processing is required, whether account or history features are enabled, whether a cloud gallery or saved history is offered, and whether retention is needed for security, abuse prevention, debugging, legal compliance, or support.

In some cases, uploads and outputs may be stored only temporarily to complete generation jobs. In other cases, they may be retained for longer periods if the service offers persistent history, cloud storage, account recovery, saved projects, or similar features.

Deletion requests may be supported through in-app tools, account settings, support channels, or other workflows that we make available. Even when deletion is requested or initiated, deletion from backups, caches, logs, and provider systems may not be immediate and may occur on a delayed or cyclical basis.

We may retain certain records as reasonably necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, maintain security, or document commercial transactions.

Choices And Controls

You may have choices through your device settings, photo-library permission settings, App Store account settings, in-app prompts, and any account or privacy controls that we make available.

Depending on how Revive is configured at a given time, you may be able to manage permissions, uninstall the app, request deletion, cancel subscriptions through Apple, turn off notifications, decline optional communications, or contact support about privacy-related requests.

If accounts are added later, we may also provide controls relating to account access, saved history, or cloud-stored content. Some rights and choices may vary based on where you live and the laws that apply to you.

Children, Sensitive Images, And Accuracy

Revive is not intended specifically for children, but uploaded photographs may include images of children, families, and other sensitive personal subjects. Users are responsible for determining whether they have an appropriate basis to submit those images.

Because Revive processes portraits and face-containing images, uploaded content may involve information that some laws or users consider sensitive, including images that may reveal family relationships, age, race, health-related context, religious context, or other personal characteristics visible in photos.

Outputs generated by Revive are AI-assisted and may not reflect the original person, appearance, setting, or historical reality. Privacy-related expectations about accuracy, identity, and representation should be considered in light of that limitation.

International And Regional Considerations

Revive, our service providers, and the platforms used to deliver the app may process information in multiple jurisdictions. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in locations where privacy protections may differ from those in your home jurisdiction, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable privacy, consumer-protection, or platform-specific laws. Regional disclosures, notices, or rights supplements may apply where required.

Updates To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the product, our vendors, our practices, legal obligations, or the markets in which we operate.

Your continued use of Revive after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated version, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, deletion requests, privacy rights, or other data-handling concerns, you may contact Revive using the contact information provided in the app, on the App Store listing, or on the relevant website or support page.

If we publish a dedicated privacy contact email, support email, or web contact form in the future, those channels may be used for privacy-related requests and communications.
